Hiking trails in South Tyrol
Hiking in the Val Passiria - challenging hikes
Many hiking routes and unspoiled nature await you when hiking in the South Tyrolean Val Passiria. Enjoy your holiday in the Hotel Martinerhof in S. Martino to the full and set off on your hike right from the front door!
Walking time: approx. 4hrs
From S. Martino towards Moos and from there, left to Stuls - go on route Nr. 15 from the large parking area up to the Eggergrubalm which is open all year round.
Walking time: approx 3.5 to 4 hrs
Go to St. Leonhard by car (parking at the bus stop or in the underground car park) - continue on foot via the Kirchweg and Happergweg up to the crossing - after approx. 100m go along the Platzbergerweg after the entrance to the Hotel Sonnenhof- go via the bendy route which is tarmaced to begin with up to the Platzberge farmsteads and later through a route through the forest up to the entrance of the Pfistradtal - below the wild cliff walls under the edge of the mesa continuing towards the valley until picturesque Pfistradalm with the St. Anna chapel - go up from above the Alm on the left side of the valley via a bendy old pasture track to the Bärengrübalm which can be seen from a long way away.

Drive to Pfelders - through the Faltschnaltal from the car park (route Nr. 6) up to the Spronserjoch and then climb down to the lakes - you can also return via the Lazinerstal (route Nr. 42).
Walking time: approx. 4 hrs
Drive to Pfelders - head to Lazins from the parking area and continue to the Lazineralm - go along route Nr. 8 and Nr. 24 up to the Stettinerhütte.

Drive to Pfelders - head to Lazins from the parking area and continue to the Lazineralm - go along route Nr. 6 up to the Zwickauerhütte.
Walking time: approx. 6.5 hrs
From Magdfeld, go on the slightly ascending track for 1.5km into the glade - behind it go left on an old pasture route quite steeply through a shady forest and lastly up to the picturesque Faglsalm via mountain meadows - go up above the Alm to the Faglssee which is 125m above (4) - head into the valley from the lake up to a route crossroads (4) - from here, go down to the Falser Alm at the valley close via the wide mountain pastures (5) - from the Falser Alm go out through the bottom of the valley and later go along a route on the right slope to Magdfeld.

Drive to Moos-Platt and then left to Ulfas - past the church and after approx. 1km you will reach the “Mühlbach” parking area - go on foot on route Nr. 2a which is slightly uphill into the forest - it crosses the forest road after approx 1km - leave the Salderner Bach (stream) after the bridge and go left onto the trail - the route goes steeply uphill for a while to the Ulfaser Alm - the journey continues on up on route Nr. 2b in large bends, first via alpine meadows and then in light forests - once it reaches the ridge, the path leads onto climb Nr. 7a at the overcrossing and up to the peak - the descent initially follows the same route Nr. 7a until the 3rd overcrossing - there, turn left onto the trail which leads down to the Waalweg - one arrives at the old Kuntneralm via alpine meadows and light forests - go past it and continue down and return to the Ulfasalm.
