Archaeology and Ötzi museum in Bolzano
The Ötzi museum houses the “about 5,300 year old man from the ice”, who was discovered in 1991 in the South Tyrolean mountains, complete with clothes and equipment. Moreover, the museum exhibits South Tyrol’s ancient and early history from the end of the last ice age (15,000 BC) up to the time of Charlemagne (approx. 800 AC).
Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday 10am-5.30pm
