Nostalgia rides through the South Tyrolean Vinschau Valley

The Vinschger train, opened in 1906, was instrumental in bringing about the Vinschgau Valley’s economic boom until it was closed in 1991.  The restoration scheme of the Vinschger train’s entire train line first began in 2000 in collaboration with the state historical monument conservation council.  The flair of the time as it was before has been maintained, the train station buildings along the Vinschger track are a special sort of cultural monument.
