Ice skating and curling in South Tyrol - ice rinks in the Val Passiria
You can go ice skating and curling in the Val Passiria on the natural rink in Pfelders and on the rink next to the Brauhotel Martinerhof in S. Martino in the Val Passiria. You can skate to lively disco music at the rink in Pfelders and it’s also possible to play curling and broomball: the traditional curling tournament takes place on Tuesdays at 8.30pm which has great prizes.
Ice climbing in the Val Passiria
Frozen waterfalls entice climbing fans to Stuls and Innerhüt at the back of the Val Passiria in the winter. One of the biggest artificial ice climbing facilities in Europe is located in Rabenstein Passeier. As a whole, the facility offers routes at the different levels of difficulty. The structure is made up of a 25m vertical ice tower, a 14m high ice cylinder and a 15m high ice wall and is suitable for both professionals and beginners alike. Rabenstein ice tower is open for climbing from mid-December to the end of February.
