Mozzarella with tomatoes and basil
For 4 people
Vegetables:
- 200g tomatoes
Other:
- 500g mozzarella in pieces or 4 mozzarella balls
- 100ml olive oil
Condiments:
- 8 basil leaves, roughly chopped
- Freshly ground pepper
- Salt
Preparation:
- Wash the tomatoes, cut into slices and lay on a flat plate.
- Slice the mozzarella into slices as well and spread over the tomatoes, sprinkle over the roughly chopped basil leaves and season with salt and fresh-ground pepper.
- Drizzle with the olive oil.
Tips and recommendations:
- You can also use mozzarelline, torn tomatoes, rucola, deep-fried basil leaves and pesto.
- Only buy top quality mozzarella, it tastes much better.
- The mozzarella can also be prepared with balsamic or tarragon vinegar.
