Mozzarella with tomatoes and basil

For 4 people

Vegetables:

  • 200g tomatoes

Other:

  • 500g mozzarella in pieces or 4 mozzarella balls
  • 100ml olive oil

Condiments:

  • 8 basil leaves, roughly chopped
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Salt

Preparation:

  • Wash the tomatoes, cut into slices and lay on a flat plate.
  • Slice the mozzarella into slices as well and spread over the tomatoes, sprinkle over the roughly chopped basil leaves and season with salt and fresh-ground pepper.
  • Drizzle with the olive oil.

Tips and recommendations:

  • You can also use mozzarelline, torn tomatoes, rucola, deep-fried basil leaves and pesto.
  • Only buy top quality mozzarella, it tastes much better.
  • The mozzarella can also be prepared with balsamic or tarragon vinegar.
